Solid spot. You can add unlimited toppings on the acai bowls. There is a decent amount of both acai and toppings for the $12 you pay. The acai isn't too prominent, but it's not bad. Will definitely be back to other locations if I'm craving an acai bowl.
I absolutely love the açaí here! One great feature of this location is that you can use your student ID for a 10% discount. Plus, you can choose from an extensive list of fresh toppings, including fruits and vegan granola, although almond butter and Nutella are available for an extra cost. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect whether you're dining in or taking your order to go. I hope one day I can partner with them!
Best açaí bowl I've ever had! Unlimited toppings and very fast service. The layering was perfection. Just the right amount of each component. Great portion for the smallest size.
I absolutely love acai and finding a good quality acai base at any of these shops is something notable and special. I've seen this chain of acai shops before and this brand is actually international- they have a location in Australia so I remembered the name from when I visited. The chains are relatively spacious but the branding is quite good- they have a noticeable storefront so it's easy to spot when you're walking down the street. The block this location is situated on is quite busy, and there is a playa bowls just down the street, but this is more of a unique experience for an acai lover. As soon as you enter, there is a kiosk to order or you can order at the counter. They have a few premade options for bowls and smoothies, and you can build your own acai bowl/cup with unlimited free toppings and some toppings you pay an additional charge for. I ordered the build your own bowl and added up as many things as I could. The price is pretty reasonable for New York and the standard at these acai/ superfood shops. The shop is extremely clean and looked brand new and the associate working was very sweet and friendly and patient. As soon as I got my bowl, I was impressed by its beauty!! The cup is a better way to enjoy since there are literal layers and you can get bites of everything as your eating versus in a bowl I feel it melts at the same time and everything becomes a mush. I also enjoyed how balanced the acai flavor itself was. It was sweetened just right, not overbearing, and the toppings added additional texture and sweetness. I got bananas, strawberry, and blueberries, as well as granola, peanut butter, granola, cocoa nibs, and goji berry. The fruit was all fresh and the toppings are just the right amount so it's not overflowing. I was absolutely in love and am now obsessed. I will most definitely be returning to this brand and probably gonna be loyal because it was so enjoyable and delicious. I highly recommend anyone interested in trying acai bowls for the first time to check this place out!
Oakberry made me an acai bowl convert, and I've spent the last few years since I first tried Oakberry to replicate these flavors at home. The version I make at home is pretty good, but something about theirs takes it to another level. The acai is slightly sweeter, the consistency is just right, and the way they layer the ingredients makes every spoonful satisfying. Perhaps $12-$16 is a bit steep for what to me and my monstrous appetite is a little snack, but they do allow for unlimited toppings. I always go with cacao nibs, nido (milk powder), granola, goji berries, peanut butter, blueberries, banana, and maybe matcha powder if I want a little caffeine boost. I've now been to at least 3 of their locations around the city, and this one is one of the better ones, with a few tables and seats to chill at with your acai bowl. The location in SoHo always has a funky smell inside but this one does not, so go here.
